Well, I finished my Picovoli last night....here she is (yes I realize I need to wear something underneath it but I didn't know that until I saw the pictures):
It was fun to knit and it was mindless knitting...which I need sometimes. I do LOVE the shirt, though. I am tempted to knit another in a different color (think black). I used Endless Summer Luna from elann.com. The yarn was pretty nice to work with. It split a bit and sometimes snagged but I was able to work around those issues. The shirt still needs more blocking. I have a feeling that I will need to iorn it each time I wear it. I took the patterns advice and cast off with larger needles, however, I am wondering if I should not have done that because the cast off edge at the hips tends to flare out. There is really no getting around it though.....it will just have to flare! I also would have knit it a couple inches longer. I thought it was going to be longer than it is. NO...I didn't try it on...I should have. I just kind of held it against me....I really wanted to end the project. Ok, more pictures. My youngest daughters can't resist the camera and wanted to be in the pictures with mom, so here they are:
Sophie, on the left, does not like to wear clothes. She is always running around in her undies with that cute belly sticking out. Exie, on the right, is almost as bad but not quite. Kids are kids. Aren't they beautiful?
And yes, I can be a "poser". You won't see many of these pictures posted on my blog. Not all are appropriate. Thank goodness for digital cameras....you can erase what you don't want to keep!

It looks great!
