Sounds like a lovely evening. We stayed in too and it was every bit as romantic as when we used to waste our money on overpriced restaurants. Your meal sounds much more exciting than ours though.

Sounds like a perfect evening. You have so much to be thankful for. Love you!

Octopus Knits

Ooo, that sounds wonderful! (the dinner and cookies, I mean - not your poor friend who needed to go to Immediate Care)

P.S. The city cape is lovely :)

That sounds like such a lovely evening. We did an evening dinner at home too. It was perfect. Typically the Babe goes ice climbing on the weekends, but this weekend he stayed home and we just communed together...absolute bliss...and YUM Baked brie with Fig Jelly? I love baked brie and I know a place near me that sells fig jelly. I have a girlfriend popping by this weekend and that would be a lovely snack for two gals to go with a nice bottle of wine.

i'm so happy you had such a wonderful evening.
it sounds perfectly romantic!

we had takeout. and my favorite wine. :)

The newspapers were full of "save money! cook with your honey!" V-day advice. I would love to do something like that. It sounds as though you two had a good time.

Here here. Well said. Sounds like a perfect day to me. Pass those red-hot cookies over here, please :)

Dining at home on Valentine's Day is perfect! Jim and I never go out on the actual "day" as all these people who never go out are unleashed on restaurants everywhere. UGH.

Susan - Knitters Delight

That sounds fabulous. I think it's nice to have a special day to say an additional thanks and I love you! Your night sounded perfect.
