Lara, How is your dad doing? I hope he is getting better.

I am so glad to hear your dad was ok after the medical aid. I worry about my parents all the time... they live quite far away from me and they are in their late seventies. I hope life goes back to normal for you and your dad keeps doing well.

I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I totally understand how you feel. My dad was in a really bad accident in 2001 and could have very well been killed. It shook my world upside down. He is doing really great now. Hang in there.

Sorry to hear about your dad, but glad to hear that he is ok now. That is scary!

So glad to hear that your Dad is doing better! It is a very scary thing when your parents' health takes a turn. My Dad had a-fib and was also cardio-verted (several years ago). He has done well with it. Growing up, I always thought my Dad was invincible-so watching him deal with various health issues has been difficult. You and your family are in my prayers. Cherish every moment with those you love!
Take care-

I am sorry to hear you're having such trials. I will keep your family in my prayers.

That is very scary but I'm so glad to hear everything is okay for now. Will be praying for him and your mom!

Lara, glad your dad is doing better. Modern medicine is pretty amazing, and it sounds like he's in good hands, with wonderful family support. You are very right that we should all cherish our loved ones and don't take for granted the time we do have with them.

every day is indeed a blessing.
so glad your father is doing well.

I'm so sorry for your distress and am relieved to hear that your Dad is doing well. You might find it reassuring that this is a very common condition. My mother had the same thing happen a number of years ago, ie. Atrial Fibrillation requiring shock treatment. I thought it was the end of the world but I've since learned that we live in incredible times and this type of heart condition is very common and usually easily managed. But it never hurts to be reminded that life is precious and all to short. Cherish each day.

How scary -- I hope you dad's OK. My mom, who is the picture of health, had a small stroke in 2005. She's fine now, but I can relate to your feeling of unexpectedness.

I will keep your parents in my prayers. I'm glad he's doing better after that ordeal!
